A PA (public address) system carries announcements and music from a microphone or music player to speakers across a building or campus. The common problems are announcements that some areas cannot hear, sound that echoes in large halls, or speakers too loud in one room and too soft in the next. These come from speakers and amplifiers chosen without a plan. We survey your premises, plan the speakers and zones, and install the system for schools, offices, factories, hospitals, shops and places of worship in Kozhikode, Wayanad, Malappuram and Kannur.

What a PA system includes

• Microphones: wired or wireless, at the office, stage or prayer area.
• Amplifier: powers the speakers; sized for the number of speakers and the area covered.
• Speakers: ceiling speakers for offices and corridors, wall speakers for classrooms and halls, and horn speakers for outdoor grounds and noisy factory floors.
• Music source: for background music in shops, hotels and offices.
• Zone selector: lets you send an announcement to one area, such as one block of a school or one floor, or to everywhere at once.

Not every site needs every component. A small office may need a few ceiling speakers and one microphone; a campus may need horn speakers outdoors, a zone selector and wireless microphones for the assembly. • Indoor and outdoor: outdoor speakers must be weather-resistant and mounted to stay clear of rain.
• Cable routes and amplifier location: usually the office, reception or control room.

How a project works

1. Free site survey: we walk the premises, note the areas, noise and distances, and agree the zones.
2. Quotation: covering the amplifier, speakers, microphones, zone selector, cable and labour.
3. Installation: speakers mounted, cables run, amplifier and microphones installed.
4. Setup: volume levels set for each area and zones configured.
5. Testing and handover: we test announcements in every area and zone, check the microphones and music, and show your staff how to make announcements and adjust volume.

Repairs and existing PA systems

If some speakers are silent, the sound is distorted, a microphone cuts out, or the amplifier has failed, we can inspect it, including systems installed by other companies. We first check the amplifier, speakers, cabling, microphones and the fault. Whether it can be repaired depends on the equipment and parts availability; some older parts may need replacement.
